Current standards
Navy PRT Plank Standards 2026
The forearm plank is the Navy PRT's abdominal muscular-endurance event. Current Guide-5A Table 4-1 provides separate standards by sex and age group for test sites below 5,000 feet.
The scoring levels are Outstanding High through Probationary, with official point values of 100, 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, and 45. The calculator does not interpolate between these official thresholds.

PRT context
How the Forearm Plank Fits Into the Navy PRT
Guide-5A organizes the PRT as push-ups → forearm plank → cardiorespiratory or approved alternate cardio. The plank is an individual scored modality, not a standalone Navy PRT result.
A Sailor must achieve at least the Probationary level on every scored PRT modality. Failing one modality results in an overall PRT failure even if another event is strong.
Additional questions
Navy PRT Plank Calculator FAQ
How many points is a 2-minute Navy plank?
It depends on sex and age group. Enter your profile above because the same 2:00 time can map to different Guide-5A point levels.
Does Navy plank scoring change with age?
Yes. Current Guide-5A has separate age groups from 17-19 through 65+.
Do male and female Sailors use the same plank table?
No. Guide-5A Table 4-1 publishes separate male and female forearm-plank thresholds.
Can a passing plank score make up for a failed cardio event?
No. Each scored PRT modality must independently reach at least the Probationary threshold.
Does the Navy still use curl-ups for PRT scoring?
No. Current Guide-5A scores the forearm plank as the abdominal muscular-endurance modality.
Does this calculator support test sites above 5,000 feet?
The forearm-plank standard is not altitude-adjusted, but this page is positioned around Table 4-1 and the standard PRT structure. Use current Navy guidance for the full high-altitude PRT.
Is this an official Navy PRT calculator?
No. It is an independent preparation tool using published Guide-5A thresholds. Official results are determined and recorded under current Navy procedures.
